Q: When do I pay for my dumpster rental?
A: Payment is due upon delivery (cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover).
Q: How long do I get to keep the rental dumpster?
A: Initial payment is for a 2 week rental of the dumpster. Each additional day is an additional $5 charge.
Q: Do you automatically pick up the dumpster after two weeks?
A: No, you must call when finished to schedule a pick-up. ATTENTION: We do not automatically pick it up.
Q: Will it damage my driveway?
A: We put down planks to help protect your driveway however, Ground Breakers Services is not responsible should any damage occur.
Q: Does it come with a cover?
A: We do not provide a cover for the dumpster.
Q: What are the dimensions of your dumpsters?
A: These are listed on our dumpster page. These are approximate; we do have a few with slightly different dimensions.
Q: How high can I pile the trash?
A: By law our dumpsters must be level with the sides and covered when they are put on the truck.
Q: How much can I throw away?
A: The amount of trash you can throw away varies, depending on dumpster size:
- 10 yard dumpsters include 1 ton of waste
- 15 yard dumpsters include 2 tons of waste
- 20 yard dumpsters include 3 tons of waste
Any additional waste will cost $120.00 per ton.

Q: Does the dumpster have a door?
A: Yes, there is a door on the back of the dumpster.
Q: Can I throw away metal?
A: Yes, but it must be placed at the back of the dumpster, by the door, so it can be easily separated.
Q: Can I throw away concrete, sand, dirt, or asphalt?
A: These are all extremely heavy, so if you are planning on putting any amount of these into the the dumpster, please call (413) 566-2250 for more information.
Q: Is there anything I CANNOT throw away?
A: The followings items are unacceptable:
- Chemicals of any kind
- Hazardous waste
- Asbestos
- Liquids of any type
- Cans of paint (dried out paint cans ARE acceptable)
Extra charges apply to overweight or overtime rentals and to the following items:
- Tires
- Televisions
- Mattresses
- Refrigerators
- Box Springs
- Dehumidifiers
- Computer Monitors
- Air Conditioners
- Each additional ton is $120.
